Sugar Plum Gingerbread House

Can I live here?

It looks peaceful.

And pink.

Everything in it’s little 1 foot wide world is just so cute.

And I’m pretty sure I could live off of the snow.

Snowmen Cookies

It’s been a while since I’ve made these…and then I realized, even though you may have seen them before, I’ve never blogged about them. Plus, I’ve made a couple changes to the originals.

(Easy) White Chocolate Raspberry Petit Fours

Sometimes I have a hard time focusing on one thing for a long period of time.

I’ll be writing a blog post and go to check who commented on my last status update. 10 times.

I’ll be in the middle of baking cookies and think to myself, “I should really bleach my whites…”

I’ll check the yahoo home page to find out that Ryan Gosling saved a woman’s life, then I begin to think of Kristan’s “Hey girl..” photos.

And don’t even get me started on Pinterest…it inspires and stresses me out at the same time.

Please tell me this is somewhat normal. Or maybe I have ADD. For real.

But sometimes this can be a good thing. Like when you buy these…

and end up with this…

True story! Try it.

Mmm, cherry vanilla.

Now, how about those petit fours pictured way up there!?

What is a petit four anyways?! A tiny cake. A tiny, multi-layered cake enrobed in a vanilla coating (in this case). YUM!

Vanilla Peppermint Pops

I really hope you have all of your holiday shopping done.

Because I just went to Target. It felt like my Black Friday (that I somehow was convinced to participate in) nightmare all over again. Never again. Maybe it’s that I get overwhelmed with swarms of people,  feel claustrophobic when waiting in line and can’t stand when people are in my bubble.

And what’s with people being so rude? It’s the holiday season for pete’s sake!

I would like to tell them:

♥Keep Calm & Eat a Cake Pop♥

Ginger Cookie Truffles

I love this recipe for several reasons.

1. I have about 9 billion things to do before the holidays and this was the easiest yet.

2. No baking required (I’ve done enough of that!)

3. Easy on the wallet

4. Scrumptious

Cranberry Orange Bliss Bars

I am begging you to make these.

You’re simply missing out if you don’t.

These were heavenly. Decadent. Outstanding.

I stumbled across them on Recipe Girl’s blog…

This is what happened after I read her post:

I bee-lined it to Target for cream cheese and eggs.

Don’t you hate when you have almost all the ingredients to a recipe!? That’s how I end up at the store, daily.

They are basically a blondie bar topped with an amazing white chocolate cream cheese (with a hint of orange zest) frosting.

Cake Bite Christmas Tree

This tree has to be one of the most elegant and awe-some desserts I have made!

I won’t lead you on, it was a bit time consuming. I would highly suggest breaking it up into a 2-3 day project. Make your cake pop mixture on day 1. Coat and decorate your cake pops the following day and construct the tree on the 3rd day. And if you’ve never made cake pops - start here.

This tree was approximately 18″ tall. You could certainly downsize and make a mini tree.

Party Mice

I could begin by telling you a story about our new friends living in the basement, but I’ll spare you.

These mice are not a brand new creation, but they are a classic. If you haven’t ever seen these – here they are! If you haven’t ever made these – do so. I promise, people will rave and think you are oh-so creative.

Who doesn’t see these and instantly think “aww, how cute”!?

Oh, Peppermint!

You know what I was thinking about the other day?!

Kids always want all their treats to themselves. When I was younger, I would have ate all of my treats, candy, etc. to myself – of course my parents suggested sharing. As adults, the story slightly changes. I still want it all to myself, but instead I gladly hand it off to others. To keep myself from eating it all.  Not to  mention, it truly does feel good to give.

Pictured above? Not quite lollipops. In fact, there are simply Vanilla dipped PEPPERMINT OREO lollipops. Have you tried peppermint Oreos? You should, they are great, especially dipped in chocolate! Get ‘em while you can, they are a seasonal item!

There isn’t really a recipe here -  they are pretty simple.

Here is what you will need:

Howdy!

Hello!

Hola!

It’s just about time to start posting fall inspired recipes and then umm, that season that follows fall.

Yikes.

Let’s not talk about that yet.

Let’s talk about cherry chips, coconut, chocolate and all the goodness they can produce.
