Q: What is the difference between almond bark and candy melts VS. CANDIQUIK?
A: Benefits of CANDIQUIK (versus almond bark and candy melts/wafers):
- CANDIQUIK contains premium ingredients (finer refined sugars, more cocoas and milk solids)
- All natural flavors
- Richer taste and creamier texture
- Comes packaged in the Melt & Make™ Microwaveable Tray; simply remove the overwrap and melt. Reusable and recyclable!
TIPS & TRICKS
- Always use dry utensils. Moisture will cause product to become hard or lumpy.
- Store unopened package in cool, dry place (55-70 degrees F). If opened, store in an airtight container.
- You can reheat and reuse CANDIQUIK in Melt and Make Microwaveable Tray™ multiple times.
- Do not overheat. Overheating will cause product to scorch or caramelize.
- Stir well after heating for the initial 60 seconds (for entire block of coating - reduce microwave times accordingly if using less than the full block or 16 oz.). Microwave for an additional 15 seconds and continue stirring until all clumps have melted and product is smooth. (Rarely requires additional heating beyond this, but if so, do in small time increments, not to exceed 15 sec.)
- If you experience the coating is thicker than normal (commonly caused by humidity), add a teaspoon-tablespoon of vegetable oil (or solid vegetable shortening, ex: Crisco) to the melted coating.
WHAT OTHERS HAD TO SAY…
- “I just want to say that Candiquik saved me from tearing my hair out. I was attempting to make Spiderman cake pops for a client and tried using a different brand of candy melt that I had heard people rave about. However, every time I melted the discs, they turned into SPACKLE no matter how carefully I monitored the heat or what kind of thinning agent I added. I tried different methods of melting them but to no avail. I was beginning to panic. I had bought a few packages of the white chocolate and chocolate Candiquik to try (thank goodness!) I melted the white chocolate as directed on the package. The result? Creamy smooth goodness. I then added oil-based red candy color to the Candiquik and the result was again, perfection. It was so easy and I didn’t have to add any thinners that people suggest using with other brands of candy melts. Thank you so much for a great product! They don’t have a “chemical” taste, and I can find them in the grocery store, which are big pluses for me. Candiquik will be my go-to product for my cake pops from now on. Thank you again! – Giovanna
