Bunny Pretzels & Easter Extravaganza

Bunny Pretzels - blog.candiquik.com

It’s almost Spring.

I have to keep telling myself that. Because currently, outside my window all I see is a flurry of snowflakes whipping through the air.

But this is the last of it…or at least that’s what ‘they’ keep saying.

If you live in a state where you have four distinct seasons, you hear me loud and clear.

These bunnies though, they scream spring and hint that there really is warm weather around the corner. Never mind the fact that there is eight inches of snow on the ground and snowmen still standing in virtually every neighbors’ yard…

Enough with that though – do you know Hani from Haniela’s? Well she’s hosting an Easter inspired party where you will find these at!

These bunnies are oh-so-cute are really fairly easy to pull together…

Bunny Pretzels

I used mini marshmallows for the ears. I cut the marshmallow in half diagonally and pressed the sticky side into pink decors.

Just like I did for the Bunny Cake Bites, only using smaller marshmallows.

Then dip the pretzel rod in Vanilla CandiQuik and attach the ears and nose.

For the nose, I used a heart-shaped sprinkle

Hold the ears in place for a few seconds until the coating begins to set.

Once the coating is completely set, draw on the eyes and mouth!

I use the Americolor Gourmet Writer, as it’s the only edible marker that I’ve had success with.

  • Mini marshmallows
  • 1 (16 oz.) package Vanilla CANDIQUIK Coating
  • 24 pretzel rods
  • Pink sugar décor sprinkles
  • Black edible marker or cake writing icing (ex: Americolor Gourmet Writer)

  2. Melt Vanilla CANDIQUIK Coating in tray according to the directions on the package.
  3. Dip about ¾ of each pretzel rod in the coating and place on wax paper.
  4. Before coating has set, press the marshmallow ears on the top of the pretzel, holding in place until set, and press one heart-shaped sprinkle on as the nose.
  5. Once dry, draw two dots for eyes with black edible marker or cake writing icing.
