I just realized I *almost* forgot to share these with you!
I made them over a year ago after seeing them online and didn’t get around to making them until after Easter. So I made them, took photos, and told myself I’ll remember to post them in the Spring when it’s close to Easter. Yeah umm, I almost forgot to share. But luckily it’s not too late!
You may have seen these popping up all over the web here and here – because they are TOO cute and simple not to make!
Here’s a step-by-step tutorial:
Wash strawberries and make sure they are completely dry
To color the Vanilla CandiQuik coating I used two packets of the Duncan Hines Frosting Creations (orange creme flavor)…they work perfect!
Dip strawberries in the colored coating and place on wax paper to dry.
Once they are dry, using your spoon or a piping bag, drizzle a little extra coating across the strawberries.
How easy was that!?
*yields approximately 30-40 strawberries*

These are so cute! Love the tip about the frosting creations packet–much easier to find than candy coloring! Plus I’ll bet they give the coating an awesome creamsicle flavor.

Thanks, Elizabeth! It’s frustrating how difficult oil or powdered colorings can be to find. Many smaller towns don’t have a craft store that carries them so some people are forced to buy them online. At least this is a good alternative. And yes – it gives the coating a light flavor as well!
