It has been scorching hot here the past week. And I love every minute of it. Because come the middle of January (or let’s be realistic…November), those days are long past. I also love these chocolate dipped potato chips. Salty + sweet, we already know those two are a winning combination, so why would it be any different with potato chips? (Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it!)
So as I was walking outside yesterday and immediately began to feel the beads of moisture accumulate on my skin, I thought to myself, “What would CandiQuik do”?
We had a heat index of 100 and so I decided to conduct a little experiment.
Let’s see how long it takes a full bar of CandiQuik, packaged in it’s convenient little tray, to melt in the heat. What do you think? How long would you predict?
Then once it’s fully melted, as long as it doesn’t take all day, I’ll make these easy chocolate dipped potato chips.
After approximately 20 minutes I am able to break up the blocks and stir – wowzas!
35-40 minutes later we have a fully melted pound of CandiQuik.
Hmm, anyone thinking what I’m thinking!?
Next outdoor event just bring the CandiQuik and let it soak up the sun, it’ll be like chocolate fondue on-the-go by the time you’re done with the brats and burgers…
You won’t even need dishes thanks to the tray it’s packaged in! Take that candy bars.
Okay, now excuse me while I dip my potato chips, strawberries (and whatever else I can find) in this creamy chocolate coating.
