Awkward moments. Life is filled with them. This seems especially true in my life. Maybe it’s me…
It’s Thursday afternoon, I’m stuck in traffic. I tend to look at every car around me.
I like to see what other people are doing/not doing. (I think it’s me.)
Did I mention I’m a fairly nosy person?
Then, as expected, I get caught staring. And ten times out of ten…it’s ALWAYS the creepy guy that is totally convinced that I am checking him out. Noooo, it’s really not like that.
More than likely, I was staring because you were probably either very interesting looking (as in, not good looking) or you were picking your nose or something of the sort.
Then we play the “I’m trying to scoot up as far as I can while looking straight forward and you are now trying to catch my attention because you legitimately think I was checking you out” game.
This is not the first time this has happened. Maybeee, just maybe, I need to mind my own business.
In other business, you should totally make these.
Some people may question your doing, but trust me – these little treats are addicting and oddly delicious.
And they’re teeny tiny, so feel free to have a handful, guilt free.
Make plenty of these, they’ll disappear fast!
- 48 fresh grapes
- 8 oz. (1/2 package) Vanilla CANDIQUIK Coating
- 1 cup chopped pecans (may substitute with any nuts)
- toothpicks
- Wash grapes and pat completely dry. Spear each grape with a toothpick.
- Melt Vanilla CandiQuik in tray according to package directions.
- Holding the end of the toothpick, dip each grape in the CandiQuik; allow excess coating to drip off.
- Immediately dip the end of the grape in the chopped pecans; place on wax paper to dry.

These are so cute and I’m totally like that. Then traffic never seems to move! Henceforth why I’m always looking for a bench to sit and watch people!

Hi Lauren! Good to know I’m not the only one ;), I think it’s human nature to be curious, lol. Have a great day!

I agree, people watching is so entertaining … until you get caught
Haha, so true! Thanks for stopping by
I like to people watch too. It’s so fun! Like these. THIS would make me eat grapes…
LOL, I love people watching {I’m nosy, too}. I also LOVE these tiny treats! I’m having a b-day party for my kiddo on Saturday and I have been trying to think of a fun twist on serving fruit – I think I just found it!!
Hi Ashley! Thanks for stopping by
I hope everyone enjoyed the treats!
This is amazing! I love it:)
Should these be refrigerated if not served immediately?
Hi Carly – they actually don’t need to be! I left them out over 7 hours and they were fine!
If need these the next day can these be made ahead and kept in refrigerator?
Hi Barb,
I have not refrigerated them but you could definitely make them ahead of time and store on the counter in a covered container! The grapes will be fine left out!
Did you try refrigerating them? I am going to have to make them 24 hours in advance and was planning on refrigerating them since it can get warm here in CA. I was curious if refrigerating worked out ok!
Hi Heather! You certainly can refrigerate your grape poppers! Just check them periodically to make sure no condensation is forming on the inside of the container because this may make the CandiQuik sticky. I hope this helps!
Thank you! Maybe I’ll test it out to be safe! Fingers crossed that there isn’t condensation.
These are so cute and perfectly popable!! I am going to make these at my next get together!
Get outta town! These look wonderful! Thanks for sharing on Two Cup Tuesday. Pinned it!
Oh, these are just too cute for words! I’d gobble these right up & they’d be SO CUTE at a party, too! Thank you so much for linking up with me this week at Tasty Tuesdays! I’ve pinned this & shared it with my followers! Please be sure to stop back by the party and check out some of the other links!
I also make the grape pops with cream cheese instead if candle, sweet n savory.
That sounds good. You melt the cream cheese?
Hi Lael,
There is no cream cheese in the recipe – please see the ingredients. Thanks!
Will have to try these! Such a great idea!!
Hi Jill,
They are so easy to make and you will find yourself “popping” grape after grape!
These look so tasty; I love grapes. Where do I buy the Candiquik?
Thanks!
Hi Valerie,
thank you! Most commonly, you can buy Candiquik coatings at Target and Walmart. Depending on your location, there are tons of other stores that also carry it! If you can let me know your city that would help a bunch! Have a great day
I made this a few times already and they were a huge hit. Great balance f flavor and they looked amazing !
They are surprisingly good! Thank you for the comment
Will softened icing or cream cheese work instead?
I’m sure you could dip the grapes in either – won’t taste similar but…
Made the grape bites for a wine tasting party we attended last weekend. I used crushed peanuts on the outside and the bites actually tasted like Carmel Apples! Our friends couldn’t believe that there wasn’t any Carmel or apples in the bites! Just delicious.
Hi Carrie,
I’ve been told that, too! They do taste like caramel apples – who would’ve thought!?!? Thanks for the comment
Vanilla CANDIQUIK Coating have not heard of or seen this product in Australia, would you know what I could use to substitute. These look terrific
Hi Lucy,
Candiquik coating is not available in Australia. An alternative would be melted white chocolate. Thank you for saying hi!
For the grape poppers,I can not find CANDIQUIK Coating here in Mexico, and I really want to make those for my b-day party, so what other product should I use, or can I use chocolate.
I will appreciate you advice and help.
Leticia
Hi Leticia, you could try using white chocolate! Thanks
Thanks!! that’s what I thought, but I wanted to check with an expert first.
Hi I made these they were SOOO delicious
Are the ingredients available in the UK? Or could I use alternatives?
Hi Sarah! Unfortunately, CandiQuik is not sold in stores in the UK, but you can buy it on Amazon.com!
